In short
What is this?
A debt payoff calculator applies your fixed monthly payment to a balance with monthly interest at the stated APR. It reports months to zero, total paid, and total interest — or warns when the payment never covers interest.
How payoff is simulated
Each month we add interest on the remaining balance, then subtract your payment. The last month may be smaller. If payment is less than or equal to the first month’s interest, the balance never falls — we flag that clearly.
EMI vs payoff calculator
Use the EMI calculator when you know principal, rate, and tenure and want the payment. Use this payoff tool when you already know what you can pay each month and want the timeline.
